I’m opening this version of Belgrade Your Way (blog, 3.0) with the same event as I did previous two times – the Belgrade Beer Fest. Is it just a coincidence? Maybe. This is the eighth year of the festival and the third year of our site. But there will be more about us on the about page, so let’s go back to the fest. Belgrade Beer Fest is one of the most popular Belgrade festivals that brings together over 600.000 people every year to enjoy the beer, the music and the splendid atmosphere that can be found only here.
The already traditional slogan of the fest is “I choose to recycle”, encouraging the visitors to recycle the beer tins.
Famous local and regional rock stars perform during this fest, held in the Ušće park just across the river from it’s original location – Kalemegdan. Besides the music, rivers of beer, lights, cool people, etc. there’s also a small fair, the snacks and alternative music for those that aren’t quite fond of rock (though it’s mainly techno and hip hop).
Belgrade Beer Fest 2010 starts on Wednesday, 18.8. at 18h and will last for five days, with over 40 performers.
This year’s special guest is Benny Benassi.
Belgrade Beer fest has even created it’s own beer brand that can be found in Belgrade stores.
