Places to visit

Here is a list of places you shouldn’t miss while in Belgrade. They’re sorted in a priority order (based on my opinion), so you should start from the top and plan them according to the time you’re going to stay in Belgrade.

  • Kalemegdan (Central park, fortress, old town, zoo)
  • Knez Mihailova (Main promenade, business, cultural and shopping zone) and it’s surroundings.
  • Terazije & Kralja Milana (continuation of Knez Mihailova, shopping, dining, culture and architecture).
  • St. Sava temple (third largest orthodox church in the world)
  • Bulevar (aka. Bulevar Kralja Aleksandra. Architecture, shopping; Belgrade’s longest street, about 7km)
  • Zeleni venac (central market, square and bus station. Architecture, shopping, dining)
  • Skadarlija (preserved old town, mainly restaurants and art galleries)
  • Dorćol (The old town, below Knez Mihailova, beside Kalemegdan, Architecture, shopping, dining)
  • Strahinića Bana (aka. Silicon valley; clubbing, dining)
  • Kosančićev venac (Historic neighborhood, between Kalemegdan and Zeleni Venac)
  • Belgrade (Sava) Port (below Kosančićev venac and Kalemegdan, beside Branko’s bridge and Beton Hala)
